Or, for that matter, on German soil. And it was well received. More than 500 fans showed up on Friday night to cheer their idols. And it should be noted that they were almost exclusively female. The guard of honor of Turkish acting had been flown in to present this new gem of Turkish filmmaking. “The Butterfly’s Dream” is a typical Turkish blockbuster.

On Friday night, movie fans were screaming their lungs out as if dozens of Oscar winners were crowding on the red carpet in front of the Cinemaxx at the Postdamer Platz during the German premiere of “The Butterfly’s Dream”, the most expensive Turkish film ever with a budget of $15 million.
